Seychelles: Heaven's Dew Drop in the Indian Ocean

After a long futile debate over where to head towards this winter season, finally, we agreed unanimously for Seychelles. Though I was not much sure about the worthiness of the decision as I was more inclined to spend my much-awaited winter break for something that quenches my wanderlust and seriously Seychelles was not on my list. Confirming our package with cheapest travel agency in Londonwe geared up for our journey and on my way back from the paradise personified, I earnestly paid my heartfelt condolence to those whom I have been obliging with my brilliant advice for not visiting this sensational archipelago of 115 islands, each beholding the astounding exhibition of exotic natural beauty.
The whole journey is a never ending fantasy, which will keep you stupefied throughout the stay. I could flood you with enormous details that are still fresh in my mind but that would be a lengthy affair so just sharing a glimpse of the striking memories that will never fade away from my subconscious.

When I imagine heaven on earth, with no doubt I think of Seychelles. The above picture will clear your doubts if any, about the authenticity of my statement. I mean look at those sparkling beaches, that pristine ambiance of the surroundings, with beautiful, profuse woodland encircling the semi-mountainous and profound island interiors. Located off the coast on the eastern front of Africa, this has been a prime destination for Honeymooners, high-end tourists and those with an elegant and classy taste when it comes to choosing a travel destination. Array of Activities that will keep you captivated throughout the trip range froma stupendous walk through the deep forests and checking out the varied species of birds and wildlife to relaxing on serene beaches.

The crystal clear and warm water of the sea makes it ideally suitable for swimming and snorkeling. We enjoyed two hours hiking trip from Beau Vallon, along with the coastline to Anse major which took us to a beach which was marvelous yet isolated.
On a visit to Aldabra Atoll at the western end, we got lucky to encounter a massive tidal lagoon with tiger sharks, sea birds, and mantra rays. There was a lot to explore at the Old Plantation House, colonial era graveyard, boat yard, national park and the world heritage center where we got the ancient glance of the country.
The islands of Seychelles have lot more to offer that makes them stand aloof of other beaches. Alike Galapagos they are home to wondrous plants and animals species. Like us, one could easily spot the smallest tortoise and frog, biggest seed plant and the rarest birds in the world.

Now the question that arises in mind is,“ What to eat on these islands?”. Well, we could smell the aroma of different cultures from our dishes when we sat on the restaurant table. The cuisine of Seychelles amalgamates the flavor from Asia and India and certain parts of Europe. A unique assortment of Sea Food with Fishes like Tuna, Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Barracuda, Lobster, and Squid are served in the restaurants. Rice, vegetables and other spicy sauces cover the side dishes. Potatoes, breadfruit, and chutneys made from domestic fruits are more than enough to tantalize the taste buds. As of desserts coconut chocolate, cooked bananas and caramelized pineapples could be enjoyed. I typically relished the taste of caramelized pineapples. Wish I could carry a whole lot with me.
The days we spent in Seychelles flew like anything. We came back from the mystic land but the fond memories still linger on in my mind. To all those planning a vacation and wish to see something charismatic and hypnotic, I could strongly acclaim that this is the place for you.
The magnificent aura of the place will leave you spellbound and I bet your heart and mind will keep craving for more. Visit yourself to believe and indulge in the mesmerizing charm of this celestial abode.
